Delano Cole van der Linde

Dr Delano Cole van der Linde is a senior lecturer in the Department of Public Law, Stellenbosch University and teaches the law of criminal procedure as well as advanced criminal law. Delano’s main field of interest as organised crime and criminal justice and has published various peer-reviewed on these topics.
Before joining Stellenbosch University, Delano appointed at the Faculty of Law, North-West University and served as the Subject Chair: Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. He currently serves on the editorial board of the Tydskrif vir Hedendaagse Romeins-Hollandse Reg (Journal of Contemporary Roman Dutch Law) as well as a junior editor of the Potchefstroom Electronic Law Journal.
He has an LLB, LLM and a doctorate (LLD) in criminal law from Stellenbosch University. He also conducted postdoctoral studies further investigating the institutional and structural issues relating to South Africa’s organised crime legislation with the aim of ultimately formulating proposals for legislative reform and greater governmental intervention.
